Most sedans take 3 hours for a full tint. Front two windows only takes about 1 hour. SUVs and trucks typically take 3-4 hours. We complete most appointments same-day—drop off in the morning, pick up in the afternoon
Curing time depends on weather. In summer, expect 3-5 days. In winter, it can take 2-4 weeks due to lower temperatures. During curing, you may notice small water bubbles or a slight haze—this is normal and will disappear. Don’t roll your windows down for at least 3-5 days after installation.
Massachusetts requires at least 35% VLT (visible light transmission) on all side windows and the rear window. The windshield can only have non-reflective tint on the top 6 inches. Mirrored or metallic tint is not allowed. Medical exemptions are available through the RMV.
Ceramic tint uses nano-ceramic particles to block heat without metal. The key differences: ceramic rejects up to 60-80% of solar heat vs. minimal heat rejection with standard film, ceramic won’t interfere with cell signals or GPS, and ceramic won’t fade to purple over time.
